Sliding Windows
Aluminium Windows
Sliding windows are perfect for any room as they are easy to lock even if you have venetian or vertical blinds. A great locking system with no plastic components will provide you with peace of mind.
One of the key features of our sliding windows at Affinity is the ultra-lock system, which provides enhanced security. The ultra lock system consists of a latch that secures the window in place and makes it difficult for intruders to open it from the outside. The lock is designed to be tamper-resistant and provides peace of mind for homeowners and building occupants. The ultra lock system can be easily operated inside, locked, and unlocked with a simple key turn. This feature has a part open setting that locks into position (roughly 15% of the window opening) to allow the breeze to come in without the use of a dowel; an important part of why we use these locks.
The anti-lift device is a mechanism that prevents the window from being lifted off the track, making it difficult for intruders to access the building. Typically located at the bottom of the window, it is designed to be tamper-resistant, providing homeowners and building managers to be at ease with the safety of their premises.
Our windows are internally glazed, which secures the glass within the window’s frame, making it difficult for intruders to remove the glass and gain access to the premises. Additionally, internal glazing helps improve the window’s insulation, reducing heat loss and increasing energy efficiency.
Another key feature that our windows possess is extruded flyscreen frames, which provide an effective barrier against insects and other pests. Flyscreen frames are made from durable and long-lasting material and are typically attached to the outside of the window frame, covering the entire opening. This provides a physical barrier against insects and other pests while still allowing air to circulate freely, ensuring that the interior of the building remains well-ventilated.
One of the top reasons people select sliding windows is that it maximises the window opening for airflow. It allows far more air flow compared to an awning and is superior in that you can open the window and let the fresh air blow through the house.

Residential construction
Sliding windows are a popular choice in residential construction due to their ease of use and versatility. They are composed of two or more panels that slide horizontally on tracks, providing a convenient way to ventilate a room or access a balcony or patio. In a residential setting, sliding windows are commonly used in bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens.
Multi-unit developments

Unlike traditional crank or casement windows, sliding windows do not require additional clearance for operation, making them ideal for use in smaller rooms or tight spaces.
Low-rise apartments
